What’s a normal day on the job like for you?
It typically includes instructing the crew members on their daily work tasks, coordinating efforts with the office and the customer, and arranging transfers that are either in progress or upcoming. I like that we are always moving. It’s part of what makes the maritime industry so interesting and exciting.
What’s your favorite aspect of your job?
I love that I get 10 days off at a time to spend with my family. That time is so important to me, so I appreciate having a career that allows that to happen.
Can you share one of your favorite memories from your time working with Benny Cenac?
Benny values family here and it’s truly appreciated. When my wife was ill, I was able to take six weeks off. He worked around what we were going through and was very sympathetic to it. I don’t really know of any other employer that would do that for his employees.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
Hunting and fishing are definitely my favorite things to do. I grew up in Louisiana and love spending time in our sportsman’s paradise. There’s really nothing quite like Louisiana fishing.
