Mr. Arlen Benny Cenac Jr. and Cenac Marine Services have successfully completed its fifth year of sponsorship for the Wounded Warrior Project. We were once again privileged to host four Wounded Warrior Heroes during the 2017 Oilman’s Fishing Tournament. Mr. Cenac says, “I look forward to this sponsorship opportunity each year, it is such an honor and joy to recognize these remarkable heroes.”
The Houma Oilman’s Fishing Tournament is an annual event held at the Harbor Light Pavilion exclusively for employees in the oilfield. This three-day experience features remarkable fishing out of Cocodrie, La along with nightly celebrations of each day’s catch. With over 2,000 participants each year, HOFI is the largest Saltwater Fishing Rodeo in the south with contestants coming together from all over the country. All of the proceeds of this tournament go towards qualifying local and national charities.
Benny Cenac Jr., third-generation owner of Cenac Marine Services, has a steadfast devotion to honoring and supporting our Veterans. Each year, we look forward to partnering with and hosting the Wounded Warrior Project members in this event. During the tournament, we provide lodging, transportation, and a remarkable fishing experience to each of these deserving individuals.
On behalf of Mr. Cenac and Cenac Marine Services, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all Veterans and service members, the Wounded Warrior Project and to the Houma Oilmans’s Fishing Tournament. We are proud to be a part of this altruistic event that solely impacts the lives of others for the greater good.
