Cenac Marine Services partnered with Houma Paint and Supply last week to help The Diocese of Houma Thibodaux provide some flood relief. These donations were sent to those in Baton Rouge and its surrounding areas reeling from damages left by the devastating flooding.
Employees of both companies gathered items that were then given to the diocese. With our combined efforts, we were able to provide the diocese with several cases of water, mops, spray pumps, and numerous laundry and cleaning supplies.
Our owner, Mr. Arlen “Benny” Cenac jumped at the opportunity to work with The Diocese of Houma Thibodaux. “We’ve all been through tough times in Louisiana, but to see this many people going through such heartache, well, we just had to do something. When we heard what Catholic Charities and the diocese were doing, we knew we had to be a part of it. If we all do a little, it will go a long way to help so many of our states residents. Every little bit helps.”
Mr. Kurt Fakier, partner in Houma Paint and Supply, said “Houma Paint and Supply is happy to contribute a small piece to what will be a huge recovery effort in this area of Louisiana.”
Our donations, along with several other donations collected from businesses and residents throughout the Houma/Thibodaux area were collected last week and delivered to the Baton Rouge area on Friday. We’d like to thank The Diocese of Houma Thibodaux for coordinating such a wonderful effort.
