With the arrival of each October, comes cooler temperatures (if we’re lucky), falling leaves, pumpkins and the Cenac Annual Fall Party. It’s a favorite amongst the majority of Cenac employees and their families. It’s a fun filled family event for us all. Each fall we are invited to bring our families and enjoy the day on Mr. Cenac’s Golden Ranch Farm.
Each year brings new surprises for us all. Mr. Cenac really knows how to throw a great family event, and it’s just another reason why we all love working at Cenac Towing. This year boasted a petting zoo, Ferris wheel, elephant rides for the children and wonderful food.
For the first time, the Nicholls State University Chef John Folse Culinary Institute students were gracious enough to provide an amazing feast for all who attended. These culinary arts students provided Cajun boucheried pigs in addition to an array of other wonderful options. Also on the menu…gumbo, fried alligator, hamburgers and hot dogs. And for desert…decorate your own cookies (a huge hit for the kids and kids at heart), cotton candy, funnel cakes and candy apples. They really outdid themselves with their culinary skills and expertise.
It was truly a wonderful day spent with the Cenac family and friends. We are already looking forward to next year’s event.
