There’s about to be a new boat in town. For the upcoming 2017 Houma Downtown Christmas Festival, a Cenac towboat will have a whole new look (an animated one). We’re excited to share this sneak peak of the proposed plans. 
The new décor is part of the continued effort of the downtown development board to improve the festival. In 2016, Mr. Arlen “Benny” Cenac, Jr. and Cenac Marine Services made a donation in support of their efforts. Mr. Cenac felt as though it was important to assist in their efforts to provide a fun family atmosphere for Houma, LA area residents to enjoy. That being said, Cenac is continuing their support this year and is looking forward to working with the downtown development board in the future.
Last year new signs, additional parade floats, new downtown lighting, and updates were all made by the board with the help of area donations. “Being a part of and giving back to the community that supports Cenac Marine is important to us. We loved being a part of the festival last year and look forward to seeing this year’s additions,” stated Mr. Benny Cenac in a recent interview. We’re looking forward to seeing what in store this holiday season. Everyone around here is especially excited to see this rendering come to life.
