Cenac Marine Services and affiliated companies are following all federal, state and local government guidance and travel advisories.
We will remain open under the current executive order from Governor John Bel Edwards, which designates us as essential services per the following:
Essential Worker Functions under the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) guidelines include:
- Petroleum, Natural and Propane Gas Workers
- Transportation and Logistics Workers
In addition, we are taking other steps to keep our employees safe:
- Limiting company travel to business-essential activities;
- Reducing face-to-face meetings;
- Enabling telecommuting for office employees;
- Directing all employees to use social distancing norms as applicable;
- Encouraging employees to follow all health and safety measures issued by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local public health departments.
Cenac is an industry leader in safety, and we are implementing these temporary measures to prevent the spread and severity of the virus. We are working to ensure the health and safety of our employees and our community and will adapt our approach as needed as the situation evolves and when additional government guidance is issued.
Cenac Marine Services and affiliated companies wants to do everything possible to keep our community safe during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). As a community we have faced many environmental and health challenges together, and Cenac Marine Services will do everything we can to ensure safety at all Cenac facilities.
Thank you to all of our employees working diligently to implement new safety protocols and policies to help manage our COVID-19 response with thoughtfulness and speed.
- Frequently wash hands throughout the day. Employees and worksite visitors have access to bathrooms and hand sanitization stations throughout Cenac’s facilities.
- Please stay home if employees are sick, or if someone at home has or has been exposed to coronavirus.
- Employees who are well, but who have a sick family member at home with COVID-19 should notify their supervisor and refer to CDC guidance for how to conduct a risk assessment of their potential exposure.
- Practice respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes and coughing or sneezing into your shoulder, rather than your hand.
We are conducting routine cleaning of offices and worksites. In addition, we are providing wipes so that commonly used surfaces (for example, doorknobs, keyboards, remote controls, desks) can be wiped down by employees before and after each use.
